Documentary Masterclass: Elke Margarete Lehrenkrauss

Join us for an online masterclass with Elke Margarete Lehrenkrauss, a Berlin based filmmaker and visual artist, on Friday, 16 October, 2 – 4pm, via Zoom.

Elke is a graduate of the KHM Academy of Media Arts Cologne as fellow of the German National Academic Foundation. In 2003, she received her diploma in Video Arts from the HSLU Lucerne University of Art and Design. Her films and artworks have been exhibited on festivals, in museums and galleries worldwide and been multi-awarded. Lovemobil is her feature debut which premiered internationally at 72.Locarno FF / Semaine de la Critique 2019 and received the German Documentary Award 2020.

Lovemobil tells the story of migrant sex workers who find themselves working out of mobile homes in rural Germany.

The Masterclass will focus on the research and development process, on the ethics of making Lovemobil, building trust with the protagonists and dealing with controversial topics.

This Masterclass is associated with the Bridging the Gap talent development programme and this year’s theme MOBILE.
